Blended — Nagano, Japan, Japan
Reviewed January 7, 2022 (edited July 3, 2023)Opened for 3 months This is really unique whiskey. Color is golden. Long & slow legs. Nose is raison & nutty & hint of cocoa. The palate at fist is light but mid palate is sweat & syrupy. Maple brown sugar oatmeal favors. Then smoke & cocoa & oak wood spice. Excellent pour. 94129.0 USD per Bottle -
Cast 2. Have it open 1 week. Straw color. Thin legs Subtle nose of floral apple. Faint Thin mouth feel at first. Some faint orange spice on mid palate. The finish however is really special. Waxy melon. Honey dew pear & vanilla. Saliva producing, lip smacking juiciness. Long last spicy sweet & sour after taste. 91

Opened this bottle 6 Months ago. Beautiful amber color. Long legs Nose is cinnamon french toast. Maybe some hint of cherry and apple. Great oily mouth feel. Coats the entire mouth. Early spice, cinnamon red hot candy. Late there is some sweet oak maybe rye almond. Lingers for a long time & sweetens to vanilla honey over a few minutes. Really like this a lot. 90

malt mark 90 Nose is simple but intense, raisins. Hard to characterize. Viscous very long finish of spicy cinnamon. Dry oak. Very intense. Some vanilla. Some charred Carmel. Complex with oak & spice. Spice burn not alcohol burn. 1/4 teaspoon water dampens the char & adds significant creaminess & caramel & pear

Bach 1. This is really interesting blend. With few drops of water: Nose is flora with vanilla brine & just a hint of smoke. Taste is intense, rich apples, honey, vanilla. The smoke is up front, not too intense, hint of brine. Can feel the spice of the high abv but no phenolic burn at all. Long nice sweet & spicy finish. I think I’m tasting the Aaron malt coming through. Really good dram.59.0 USD per Bottle
