The presentation is beautiful. There is no mention of filtration or coloring. The nose is apples & cinnamon. The initial taste is light very friendly. Short finish. The mid palate is pleasant Carmel baked apple, light cinnamon. Quality casks. Shared this w/ 3 friends & everyone enjoyed it. No peat it’s not challenging. I would say it’s a great dram for a new scotch drinker or bourbon fan.90.0 USD per Bottle

Had this open about 2 months & have been enjoying it. Now down below label. This is an interesting whisky & it has taken me awhile to figure it out. Great abv at 46% & beautiful natural honey color & long thick legs. The nose is toffee & burnt sugar. Hard to describe but not subtle. The taste is immediate and intense toffee with mid palate of butter scotch & long spicy citrus grapefruit finish with good bit of oak. It’s complex, took awhile to open up & tastes different from other Speysides in my opinion. Cost was on par with 18 yo scotches in my area around 120$USD. Would buy again but I’ve only seen one bottle in multiple scotch buying hunts which is now sadly almost gone.

Bottle has been open for about 8 months & to label. The color is honey amber with long legs. The nose is honey apple & vanilla. The taste is predominated by cinnamon spice that coats the palate & has a long long finish. There is honey & vanilla. Some oak. Best i can say is oily spicy honey cinnamon. It’s very good.100.0 USD per Bottle

Had this open for about 12 months. Good legs. Amber color. Nose is sherry fruit. Maybe some citrus & cocoa. Ok nose. Taste is intense for 40%. Intense juicy Fruit upfront which quickly get a bitter oak mid palate. Finish is spicy & a bit sour. No smoke. I do like the complexity at 40%. It’s oaky for scotch. Score 8470.0 USD per Bottle

Longmorn 16 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 27, 2022 (edited August 16, 2022)Have the bottle open for about 2 months. It has grown on me little at a time and I find it a highly enjoyable non peated and non sherry dram. It’s pretty unique dram. Most similar i think to The Tryconnell 16 IMO. Beautiful amber color. Long legs. Nose is mild. Faint honey pear & oak. P: rich honey, creamy mouth feel and some vanilla. Finish is dominated by oak tannins and spice. Long finish which honey sweetness becomes more pronounced over time. Score 89 -
Opened about 4 months ago. Been trying to like this but it just hallow. The expert review just seems way off. Color is a deep amber. Nose is very good. Sweat peat. Deserts syrup. The palate balanced for sure with a nice peat, salty honey. Most of taste is in the finish with a phenolic tanic finish as well as sweet salty. Few drops of water improve the experience.70.0 USD per Bottle

Been open about 5 months. Color is golden brown. Nose is great. Intense. After sitting 30mins any etoh gone & it’s dark cherry grill pineapples. With a little water it’s cocoa & sweet oak up front. Oil rich mouth feel. Brown sugar & finish is long & i can pick up banana cooked in butter. It’s super intense & hard to put down. 9680.0 USD per Bottle
