Had this open for 4 months & down past label Amazing deep sweet toffee apple At first its light & delicate but mid palate is a beutiful oak, citus irange which continues on as grapefruit & pear. Peat is very light and late in the finsih. The finish is long & oaky & honey. Maybe cloves. I think this is a really fantastic ans complex japanes whiskey. I would agree thats it reminds me of craigellachie120.0 USD per Bottle

Glen Scotia 18 Year
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed December 7, 2023 (edited August 4, 2024)Im now past the shoulder had it open for about 4 months this is a few drops of water. Very interesting whiskey. Nose salty carmel pretzel with chocolate raisons. Lovely aroma. Its not subtle. All the abv is in the finish. Up front is soft youndont get the abv at all. Mid palate is light and carmel honey, seeet prunes and raisons. Finsih is long ginger spice, coffee like bitterness. Pleasant finsih lingers for ever and changes to brine mint, distant peat or tobacco. Its a really unique layered whisky thats very fun to drink. -
Ive had this opened for about 1 week. Down to shoulder. The color is a rich dark auburn. I would say its the most red colored whiskey Ive had. Good legs. The nose is hard for me to describe. It is faint floral. Red wine. Given nose & color suspect finished in red wine casks. Taste is really nice. All spicy root beer & cherry cola. Light mouth feel. Minimal mid palate & very nice long spicey cinnamin finish. Not complex but really nice & unique130.0 USD per Bottle

Gold Spot 9 Year Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed February 17, 2023 (edited August 5, 2024)Had this open for about 1 month. Its complex nose, for me is cherry carmel with hint of nuts. Hard to describe. Its not similar at all to greenspot. Long legs that beads up. Color is a rich dark honey. Man the palate is something else. On front is sweet maybe some cooked banana, mid palate is all cherry & the back end is long spicy leather oak spice, mellow cinnomon & faint nuts. Its oily & strong. Love it.160.0 USD per Bottle -
This is a great dram. Abv is 46% non chilled filtered non colored Color is honey. The nose is faint. Has a heavy oily mouth feel. Lots of honey orchard fruit up front. Finish is long & spicy. Zero alcohol burn. I’m really struggling with the rating on this. No way is this a 78. This is an excellent scotch.

The presentation is beautiful. There is no mention of filtration or coloring. The nose is apples & cinnamon. The initial taste is light very friendly. Short finish. The mid palate is pleasant Carmel baked apple, light cinnamon. Quality casks. Shared this w/ 3 friends & everyone enjoyed it. No peat it’s not challenging. I would say it’s a great dram for a new scotch drinker or bourbon fan.90.0 USD per Bottle
