Spicy, light smoke, easy sipper

Super smooth for the proof, but extremely dry, bitter, and thin. Definitely get walnut and rye spice. Nutty, bitter finish. Feels unbalanced and in desperate need of some sweetness and body. Overall, very disappointing based on the reviews. From what I've read there's a lot of inconsistencies with this product.

Nose: cheery pie filling Taste: up front is a flavor bomb of sugary fruit. Cherries, blackberry. Then astringent spice notes of vanilla bean and cinnamon. Similar to regular stranahan's, but with darker sweet notes in the background. Finish: found the finish to be long but fairly light. Some walnut goes in and out. Sherry notes of dried fruit. Vanilla. Random notes of intense fig. Batch: 005

Tasted after ardbeg 10 and Laphroaig 10. Nose: barely a hint of smoke. Bright honey and pear. Taste: can't hide the peat notes here. Sweet and salty. Finish : lingering peat smoke
