Allocated where I live and picked this up for $55 bottle when I saw it in stock. Neat, rocks glass: It's a fairly one dimensional bourbon but man do I love it. This bourbon is all toasted marshmallows roasted over a campfire with hints of oak and baking spice throughout. Nice finish that lingers quite a while. Decent mouth feel but nothing exceptional considering the low proof. I wouldn't put this over ice but i think it make a decent, albeit sweet, old fashioned.55.0 USD per Bottle

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 21, 2022 (edited February 2, 2022)Rock glass, neat Nose - extremely robust with many typical notes ranging from oak, vanilla, brown sugar, and a certain rich, dank, deep barrel essence. Vibrant and rich. Taste - the whiskey really opens up with a mellowing sweetness and spicy notes. A bit hot and drying from the proof, but extremely smooth, almost melting away. Finish - long and warm with lingering brown sugar sweetness, oak, and barrel spice. Overall, this whiskey has an amazing nose that carries through the entire sip. -
(neat, rock glass) Nose: frosted spice cake with hints of dank oak. Very sweet and pleasant. Taste: sweet, with a nice spiciness that lingers with dank woody notes. Silky, sweet, spicy, herbal notes. Finish: very smooth with lingering oak and spiciness. Overall, a sweet whiskey that is well balanced with oak, wood, spicy notes that opens up with each sip. A great go to sipper with very little heat.36.0 USD per Bottle

Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 30, 2020 (edited November 8, 2020)(Rock glass, neat) Nose: vanilla frosted cake drizzled in caramel, very sweet with hints a barrel spice and mild oak. Taste: very smooth with a little heat towards the throat. Very sweet and represents a continuation of the nose. Balanced with sweet spice up front then softens into smooth vanilla caramel and pleasant heat. Finish: pleasantly warm but never overpowering. Lingering sweetness and barrel spice that lasts for quite some time. Overall: it smells exactly how it tastes. A very balanced and sweet bourbon that has a nice, warm finish. There's not a lot of complexity and seems to dance back and forth between barrel spice, light oak and vanilla frosted cake drizzled in caramel. An easy sipper with a nice, smooth kick.42.0 USD per Bottle -
(rock glass, neat) Nose: pleasant sweetness with hints of brown sugar and raisins, slight flashes of oak. Reminds me of pantone bread. Taste: a bit shiny, thin and unrefined. Oak forward with some sweetness that's a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins with light pops of barrel spice. There's a subtle nuttiness that's hard to pin down. Very soft flavors that did not live up the nose and had a hint of complexity. Finish: a nice, balanced finish between sweetness and woodiness. Lingering hints of cinnamon and barrel spice that lasts for quite some time. Overall: tastes a bit unrefined and does not live up to the nose. It's a rather sweet bourbon overall, I believe, because of the wheat content. The nose is fabulous but the flavor leaves much to be desired. It's a great buy if you can find it for around $20 and feels more like a novelty than a go to sipper.22.0 USD per Bottle

(neat, rock glass) Nose: Strong brown sugar with barrel char and a hint of vanilla Palate: Spicy with oak and barrel char with some brown sugar notes. Small hints of fruity notes come through as well Finish: Spicy and pungent with some heat. The brown sugar sweetness fades quickly with lingering spice and barrel notes. Overall: Nice and sugary on the nose but a little rough on flavor and finish. Need to let the whiskey open up and/or try on ice. Edit: a few drops of water help to open the whiskey and smooth out the rough edges on the finish. Ice is ok, but makes it too one dimensional.30.99 USD per Bottle
