Tastes

Nose: Floral, fruity, definitely a Speyside Palate: Floral, pear, bright. A hint of smoke and peat but very subtle. Has a kick due to high ABV. Much more complex than the 12yr. Finish: Long and warm. Complex flavors settle in. One of the best Speysides I’ve tried. I am an Islay fan so some smoke and peat is a plus for me.

Good oaky rye. Oak and raisins on the nose. Strong oak and rye spices on the palate. Silky mouth feel. Nice long, smooth finish. Pairs well with a cigar.

A nice blend of Highland floral, Speyside sweet, and Islay smoky peat. All flavors come through at different points. Honey and fruit on the nose. Light floral and sweetness on the taste. And gentle peat and smoke on the finish. Not a long finish but a great dram overall.

Nose: oak and fruit Palate: very oaky, banana, cherry Finish: oaky and short Overall: smooth but uninteresting. My favorite Old Forester is 1920.

Nose: spicy Palate: spicy, vanilla, toffee, cream Finish: long, warm, bread pudding
