Tastes

This one is aged 9 years. Single cask, 405 bottles hogshead ref - DL12203. Distilled February 2008. Bottled November 2017. N20, P18, F20, B19. The whisky has the color of the slightly oxidised white wine. Prominent vanilla, pineapple, ripe tropical fruit are on the nose. Vanilla ice cream and more fruit on the palate. Decent stuff.

Cask type - American white oak, Oloroso sherry finish. Old gold colour. N 21, P 19, F21, B20 Pleasant flavours of sandthorn berries, mimosa, acid drops and sugar candies. Unexpected, challenging but not unpleasant aftertaste of gasoline. Quite nice and not that simple whisky.

Yellow gold colour. N 17, P 16, F15, B 16. Pretty basic and edgy whiskey. Some aromas of fruit intermingled with chemical notes. The taste is not smooth at all with protruding alcohol. No desire to repeat or even try a next tier product.

Maize corn colour. N20, P20, F20, B20. It's that balanced). Sweet aromas of ripe fruits. Soft, oily and sweetish syrupy taste. Apricots, figs, honey, dates. Decent stuff but on a sweeter side.

Amber colour. N:22, P:20, F:19, B:19 Overall profile of this whisky is on a sweeter side with notes of apricot, melon, marzipan, pumpkin, pineapple and Turkish delight. Later also comes some fire smoke and chemist's nuances. The taste is jellyfish-stingy with alcohol, light nutty bitterness and astringency. Adding some water does not help to soften the alcohol burn.

Amber colour. N:18, P:18, F:18, B:18. Prominent vanilla on the nose with a whiff of kerosene and propane. Basic taste of fruit and vanilla cream with a slight bite of alcohol. Adequate inexpensive option.

Maize corn colour. N:18, P:18, F:19, B:18. Reasonable whisky with flavours of flowers, honey, custard cream, almonds and cashew. Also toffee at moments.

Yellow gold colour. N:19, T:18, F:19, B:19. Pleasant aromas of fruit with predominant orange. Smooth taste, sometimes somewhat sweetish. Nothing complex or extraordinary, but quite nice for a single grain.

The colour of chestnut oloroso sherry. N:18, P:16, B:15, F:17. A harsh drink with a long and hot alcoholic finish. Aromas of vanilla, custard cream, dried fruit and later some varnish. Sweetness, alcohol and medicine are on the palate. A drop of water makes things worse. Not my cup of tea.

0.35 cl bottle. Maize corn colour. N:10, P:10, F:11, B:9. Wow!!! This is so harsh and unfriendly. Medicine potions, cleanser and burning alcohol - that's about all you get. Exotic, but undrinkable. Stay away.
