46 is a step above normal Maker’s. It maintains the sweet and savory taste of Maker’s but adds a layer of complexity on top of it that makes it stand out. Add to that it’s higher proof and more syrupy mouth feel and you’ve got a true winner.

A fantastic (if not the best) rye whiskey. Notes of black pepper blend with the vanilla nicely to create a sweet and smooth finish. The question is though, is it worth the much higher price point than other ryes that may not be as good, but are still great for half the price? I have a hard time saying yes... but their bottle does look great on a shelf.

Had the ‘16 journey. Just a slight difference from their normal Jefferson’s reserve. When branched out, it really comes alive.

Better than Willett’s traditional offering. Very very drinkable given its proof which may prove dangerous to some. Not as complex or strong as other options on the market, but a good option for a more unique budget bourbon.

A good middle of the road cask strength rye that stays on your palette for a while with a spicy finish. While good, there are better options for rye at cheaper price points.

Very one note and rather plain tasting. Reminds me of a neutral grain alcohol more than a traditional bourbon. I feel like the bottle is compensating for something, and that something is a lack of complexity and flavor.
