Second tasting, different verdict. This scotch is light in colour and flavour, but smooth and a bit like a light brandy, other than a hint of bitterness on the back of the palate. However, it leaves a wonderful light and flowery / fruity aftertaste. Quite enjoyable

Sweet and fruity, fairly smooth. Lacks the smoke and brine of Lagavulin

Beautifully smooth old scotch, with just a subtle hint of peat and smoke, and wonderful citrus-honey finish
