Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch A119
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 3, 2019 (edited March 23, 2021)Everytime I revisit this I fall in love all over again. It's like Carmel and toasted marshmallow heaven that wakes up every tastebud even some you didnt know existed. A119 is lights out -
The words for this treat are almost indescribable. Cherry and vanilla with oak and spice. Shockingly smooth for such a high proof. Adding water stunts the beautiful nose some but does help cool the finish just a tad. I loved this one so much I decided to pick up 2 cases so I will be able to enjoy this years from now.

The nose on this one is bright fruity with hint of tea. The palate a drastic change from the nose it is subtle vanilla with just a hint of spice the finish is clean and short. I can understand why some may take issue with this since the nose and palate aren't even close but both are great just exceptionally different.

Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 23, 2019 (edited November 4, 2019)Maybe it was the atmosphere maybe it was the excitement seeing this on a bar shelf. All I know was it hit every note for me. The nose was perfect the palate and finish were extremely well balanced. It was sweet but at 100 proof it wasnt to sweet and not to strong -
Blanton's Original Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 21, 2019 (edited November 4, 2019)When it's great it's amazing and even when it's not the best barrel it's still really good. My only complaint is having to hustle to buy a bottle. this should be on shelves at all times no questions asked. I just wish so many posers would just get out of bourbon already and leave the real bourbon loving men and women to find what they want when they want. (disclaimer: I am not that passionate about Blantons I just assumed this would get my rant more eyeballs than say a better bourbon like EHT Single Barrel)
