Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 1
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 22, 2020 (edited January 31, 2020)Another excellent barrel proof. Oak spice and mild vanilla on the nose. The taste has hot chili pepper and oak up front that quickly turns into sweet caramel and a thick cherry syrup. The sweetness builds on the finish while my mouth continued to dry out. -
Peerless Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 25, 2019 (edited February 25, 2020)Lots of vanilla, oak, and caramelized sugar. Honey and baked apple on the finish. Definitely some chili pepper due to the high proof, but it wasn’t difficult to get past the heat. -

Ardbeg Drum (2019 Committee Release)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed June 5, 2019 (edited September 30, 2022)Classic Ardbeg but more approachable than the 10 year. Tar, Smokey, oily, pineapple, creme brûlée, banana. Pretty but also complex makes for a fantastic expression.
