Let it open up in the glass for a few minutes, you get the oak and caramel and a little bit of fruit on the nose. Close to Booker’s on the palette and a great buy at the price.

Slight brine from the salty sea air, warm on the palate with a nuttiness. Little peat makes it very approachable for those that typically don’t care for Scotch.

Nice warm smokiness, hints of vanilla. It is warm on the palette and a very smooth finish.

Bite at the front that settles in to a rich char on the tongue. Add a drop of water to really bring out the notes of baking spice and caramel.

Smooth, the barrel char and wine comes through.
