Tastes

Picking up vanilla...something sweet...maybe brown sugar. Rolls sweet like a Weller should.. Touch of spice on the tongue..likely the proof. Closes nicely. I like it.

Picked up at the distillery on lucky travel day and this was on the shelf. Served neat in a glencairn, rested for 20 minutes. Delightful nose...vanilla, chocolate, something lightly fruity I can't quite identify. First taste had some sweetness. First chew unleashed the rye. Spicy on the tongue... but never unpleasant. Very smooth long finish, caught light oak on the aftertaste. Very very good.

Served neat. Spicy, Tennessee filtered whisky, notes of pepper, maybe leather and caramel. Lightly colored, starts smooth but complexity comes after the chew on the tongue and lingers, definite oakiness.
