Tastes

Heavy oak and char. Viscous mouthfeel. Lomg apicy finish.

Color- ruby red Dr Peppper cola appearance, thinck N- ethanol and sour stonefruits P- a tangy fruit followed by an astringent taste (too much time in barrel?) and fading into mellow chocolatey coffee tones. Burns a while going down and lots of cinnamom and wood on the finish. Long finish. Pretty interesting but the astringent nose palate and finish keep me from rating higher.

Batch #4, 117.7 pf Sample from Spess for CNP Bourbon of the Month. Neat in Glen. Quite tasty. Reminds me of a stringer version of ER10. Quite smooth for the proof. Def wortb buying.

Clearance sale. Tastes young and the unlisted mashbill is obvioualy corn-heavy. Finish - medium, spicy that coats the palate. Some hug.

Meijer Steward Select 5 yo 116 pf. Mashbill- 99 % corm, 1% barley. Managed to pick this up on a 50% off clearance sale. Color- light amber. Nose- sweet Palate- does not drink hot for the age and proof. Sweet and not complex. The 99% corn mashbill is apparent in the flavor. Some heat across the front of the palate after the sweetness fades. Finish- some spice on the back end. Medium finish with some hug to it.

Batch 004 Clearance sale from Meijer. Decent. Pretty smooth but nothing really special going on. Good for the $30 sale price but I couldn't see the normal $70 price tag.

Nose is sweet bubblegum & marshmallow. Palate- spicy, oak and leather. Finish- medium, spicy.

Mild and smooth. Full bodied for low ABV. Sweet and mild short finish.
