Hot. First sip absolutely burned my nose.

Nothing wows me about this bourbon. It's OK but doesn't live up to the hype of the S-W juice. It's too watered down in my opinion for much flavor. Don't go out of your way and definitely don't pay above minimum. If you find it at MSRP and you like a little milder bourbon, definitely pull the trigger. I will say that or may be tasting better after I initially opened the bottle a few months ago. Give it some time to breathe.

Liquor Locker (Stevensville, MI) store pick, "Charlie's Pick". Neat.

Sample for KHW. Neat. Very complex and woody. The port barrel influence on the back of the palate is definitely obvious. Initial sweet taste. Moderate to long finish with some alcohol burn. Quite nice.
