This was my “gateway” bourbon. Solid everyday pour. Great mixer.

THH is my favorite rye of 2017. It’s got heat, spice, and everything nice. Once the initial youthful heat dissipates, you get huge orange and honey flavors, balanced by cinnamon and pepper spice. Basically liquid candy with a kick. Highly recommended.

Stagg Jr. is my go-to barrel proof pour. It is unapologetically hot, but add a cube and it really opens up.. Tons of caramel, vanilla, and burnt brown sugar. Worth the experience, if you’re able to brave the heat.

Four Roses Al Young 50th Anniversary was likely my favorite pour of 2017. It is a perfect balance of dark cherries, vanilla, and oak. While it is barrel strength.. The heat is not overwhelming, but makes for a long and smooth finish. Highly recommended.
