Russell's Reserve 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 1, 2021 (edited November 24, 2021)First thing you notice is the beautiful legs running down the glass. The nose comes in with beautiful butterscotch and caramel, with some type of faint spice hiding in the background. That spice immediately comes forward on the palate that takes over and pushes the butterscotch to the back. The finish is medium in length with the spice continuing to linger long after the sip. The mouthfeel is absolutely delightful with a silky and oily coating of the mouth. Really enjoying this one!11.0 USD per PourThe Watch Rooftop Kitchen and Spirits -
Very bright and pleasant with lots of vanilla and honey on the nose, with maybe some honeydew melon as well. Palate is a bit flat with hints of apples, maybe even with a little smoke, with some wood spice that shows up towards the back and carries through the finish. A perfectly good summer time scotch that won't break the bank, but not a show stopper either.10.0 USD per PourThe Watch Rooftop Kitchen and Spirits

Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year Bourbon (107 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 20, 2021 (edited August 18, 2021)Picked up lots of vanilla and cinnamon on the nose. The palate was definitely a combination of fruit with red hots, which opened up with more butterscotch notes after adding a drop or two of water. The spiciness of the red hots continues on theoigh the finish, but leaves you with a bit of a dry mouthfeel when finished. Overall this is a solid pour, but certainly not worth the hype as there are much better pours out there. -
Such a delicious pour! Nose consists of red fruit drizzled in caramel or cream, maybe candied apples. Vanilla dominates the palate and a nice rounded mouthfeel. The finish is short but has a pleasant wood spice that lingers after the rest of notes fade. Totally agree that this bottle is worth the hype.

Early Times Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 10, 2021 (edited July 16, 2021)The nose starts off a little flat, but after breathing for a moment notes of vanilla and cream appear. The palate is very corn forward at first and then comes some caramel and brown sugar. The finish pleasantly lingers with some slight spiciness and leaves a somewhat oily mouthfeel. Overall a very solid pour. -
Westward American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Oregon, USA
Reviewed June 9, 2021 (edited November 10, 2021)On the nose I'm getting straight up apple juice with the slightest hint of spice, maybe cinnamon or allspice. The palate is kind of sour and musty, like an overripe fruit that is about to go bad. Finish is pretty short with some wood spice that makes an appearance. Overall, not something I would likely go back to. -
I really enjoy this whiskey. Lots of vanilla and butterscotch on the nose, subsequent sniffs also bring out a fruity sweetness like apples or maybe raisins. The palate takes a surprising turn with some nice black pepper notes that compliment the vanilla along with some not unpleasant heat. The finish is quick and leaves your mouth somewhat dry. A fun ride that is always enjoyable.

Baker's Single Barrel Bourbon 7 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 21, 2021 (edited June 14, 2021)The 7 year small batch is a top 5 favorite of mine, so curious as to how this compares. On the nose there is some vanilla that is immediately apparent followed by hints of caramelized apples. There is also a hint of the classic cherry note that are often found in Beam products. The palate features a lot of pepper spice and heat along with wood and some corn notes. The heat and spice carry through the finish, which is medium to long. Overall not as pleasing as the small batch as many of the baking spices are overpowered by the pepper and wood spice. -
Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 1
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 15, 2021 (edited May 20, 2021)I dig this more and more each time I have a pour. Would love to find a bottle one day!13.0 USD per Pour -
I'm newish to rum, so my palate is not very dialed in yet, but here we go. On the nose I got lots of molasses sweetness with some fruit eccence. The fruit sweetness continues on the palate with a hint of chocolate. The finish is sweet and quick. Overall I really enjoy this compared to the Goslings dark rum that I normally get at the same price point.21.0 USD per BottleBambooze Fine Wine & Liquor
