This one starts off very interesting. Nose has baking spices, caramel, some slight ethanol, and then some faint hints of dark fruit, possibly apples. The baking spice and fruit continues on the palate along with some burnt sugar. The finish is medium, but not hot or spicy, but lingers pleasantly and has a nice full mouthfeel.

George Dickel Barrel Select
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed September 8, 2021 (edited September 9, 2021)The nose starts off as expected, lots of corn and banana along with dried fruits with the hint of the Dickel vitamin note that is sure to follow on the palate. The palate is soft and sweet when it first hits the tongue, followed by a clash of banana and then some spice. The vitamin is there, but fairly muted. The finish is quick and the overall mouthfeel is somewhat thin. Overall this pour does not disappoint and those who already like the Dickel profile will be pleased. -
The absolute best pour I have had this year, hands down. Lots of butterscoth on the nose at first that then moves into orange and chocolate (think about the xmas chocolate oranges) and then some vanilla. The palate is lots of vanilla and cream, add in some oak spice mid palate and then a wonderful kentucky hug as it goes down with almost zero burn. Overall it's like Gal Gabot dressed in silk and massaging you all over.60.0 USD per PourThe Continental Nashville

New Southern Revival Jimmy Red Corn Bourbon
Bourbon — South Carolina , USA
Reviewed August 24, 2021 (edited September 21, 2021)Starts off with an absolute beautiful nose. Strong notes of vanilla gives way to some chocolate and dark fruit notes. There is also some ethanol notes, perhaps due to the young age, but not overpowering or unpleasant. The palate brings lots of corn on the front of the palate that turns to grain mid palate and then some oak spice at the back. The finish is somewhat quick with some pleasantly lingering heat. Overall very nice and mildly complex despite its young age.92.0 USD per BottleStateline Elite -
Maybe it is the hype, but I was not all that blown away by this. I got vanilla and baking spices on the nose that then turned to cinnamon/candied apples or pears. The palate was very hot with lots of wood spice and then some of the vanilla notes coming towards the end. The finish was long and enjoyable. Glad i tried it, but have no inclination to try again.
