Tastes

For its price, this is a great bourbon. A clear step up from the white label. The nose has the Jim beam spice mixed with some smoke and wood. The taste is less sweet than the original, tasting like charcoal, green apple, and a little bit of vanilla. The aftertaste is a tad harsh, but long and pleasant overall.

On the nose, you have some caramel, strong and distinctive spice, and an unnatural cleaning product sort of smell. The taste is predominantly oily banana, with a bit of caramel sneaking in as well. The finish is long but surprisingly harsh. For the price, it isn't bad. But there are definitely better whiskeys for the same price.

The nose is sharp and a bit off. Basically smells like ethanol and nuts. The taste is very sweet and borderline unpleasant. The finish is disappointing and drys out your mouth. The price is great, but that is about all this has going for it.

It has a very faint smell. Not much to note on the nose outside of a caramel and vanilla. It has a nice taste of chocolate, honey, and roasted wood chips. The aftertaste is smooth and medium. Much better than the original, a good Irish whiskey.

The smell is predominantly vanilla, but you can also smell a bit of honey in there as well. The taste is a blend of vanilla, honey, and apple. At the end there is a bit of a syrupy texture to it. Very drinkable, with a very short aftertaste.

The smell is a mixture of faint vanilla and oak. The taste is very smooth and uneventful, with a slightly sweet taste. It has a toasty aftertaste that doesn't linger too long. A great cheap mixer, I just wouldn't buy it to sip on its own.
