The first Japanese whiskey that I've tried. The first thing you notice is how light in color the whiskey is. The nose is very faint with some vanilla, ripe green fruit, and a light lysol-lemon scent. The taste has a bit more of the vanilla with a little bit of a minty, pine flavor. This is super smooth, and the finish is virtually non-existent. I prefer a bit more of a punch with the taste and finish, but it is nice easy sipper overall.

This is a VERY good value, and an excellent rye whiskey. On the nose you get some green apple, that rye spiciness, and slight wood scents. When you take a sip, it starts off with a stronger apple flavor before the spiciness kicks in for a lingering nice burn in the mouth that still goes does smoothly. There is a certain earthy smokiness to this as well. Must try.

This bourbon is pretty phenomenal for the price. The nose has a strong scent of orange, with a slight bit of a spice kick. The taste has a good amount of initial spice and a sweet, creamy citrus flavor that is exceptionally smooth. It's a very sippable drink, and while not extremely interesting, is great for a longer drinking session.

On the nose you get some corn, green fruit, and some sweet syrup scents. It is pretty light overall and not very notable. The taste is pretty similar, giving a light and rather sweet taste with a hint of spice, corn and honey with an average finish. It's a typical cheap whiskey that isn't terrible, but one that could definitely use a higher proof.

Wild Turkey Bourbon 101
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 14, 2017 (edited November 11, 2017)For a cheap bourbon, this one hits the mark. The nose is a sweet one that also packs a punch, and may be my personal favorite part of the whiskey. I get a bit of vanilla-butterscotch smell that stings the nose in just the right way. The taste has a bit of a sawdust flavor profile that leads to a sweet syrup and spice mixture (cinnamon/nutmeg?) The finish is a bit harsh, but not unpleasant and a bit on the short side. A very solid bourbon. -
I am not a big fan of this one. While smoother than the original, this just isn't a very complex whiskey and it doesn't taste particularly good. There is a taste of banana at the beginning that gradually desolves into a sharp alcohol taste after a few seconds. On the nose, it doesn't have a particularly notable smell, with faint pepper and tart fruit being the notable scents. The finish is actually sort of pleasant, as it gives a pretty strong kick for such a smooth whiskey. Overall, there is far better out there.
