Tastes

I’ve had this a few times now, and really wanted to like it, but it just has a harsh spiciness to it that I don’t enjoy. It’s good bourbon, solid nose, sweet and pleasant first taste but the harshness in the spice is turning me away. 86

Good for the price. Fruit, cinnamon and light oak notes. Light bodied with a decent spice at the back of the throat. Would like it at a higher proof. Very soft and fairly oily.

Light and smooth as you’d expect from a wheated bourbon, but has a slightly darker profile than some... more brown sugar sweet than artificial sweeteners, hint of nutty flavors and a nice cinnamon spiciness. Some fruit on the nose and subtly on the palate. Good tingle to the burn that lasts long enough . Very pleasant, especially at the price. Final number: 88

Couldn’t quite place all the profiles but it came out to about an 89 for me overall.

Nose: pure sweet oak, vanilla, slightly fruity Palate: deep smoky tea herbs Body: thick and smooth Finish: slow long warming finish. Tiny bit of leather at end Final number: 91

So rich and complex. Getting hints of notes and then they’re gone replaced by something else... kind of wishing it would settle into something knowable

Growing on me, a solid bottle for sure

Nice a surprisingly complex. An 88 in my book

Nose: nice citrus and vanilla nose Palate: sweet and vanilla spicy! Body: good body but a little dry Finish: spicy lingers over but drops off not leaving a good satisfying exit Final number: 88

Carmel vanilla spice sugary cinnamon touches of sweet fruits. Tasty and nicely balanced Final number: 89
