Good rye vanilla notes with sometimes a punch of peach jam. Some herbal typical rye notes in nose. Strength is in the way it’s all balanced so well. Very enjoyable

Very complex as it should be with the different finishes involved. I’ll sum it up by saying this was a very enjoyable and different experience. It morphed and evolved through out showing hints of warm toasty bourbon flavors one moment then hits you with the rum and port profile the next.

Was comparable to the a119 but I think I preferred a119. Was pretty smooth dark and rich but dangerously high proof

It’s pretty good but all Makers seem to have this astringent note that just puts me off. Even their finished versions

Nose: Cola-like carmel dominates, hints of vanilla and grain with a slight touch of medicinal cherry note. Palate: similar to the nose but dominated by the spice rush that comes on quick and strong. Finish: Harsh spice that hits pretty quickly and lingers towards the front of the palate then fades. Overall it’s an interesting pour but does leave some things to be desired. Would like to see what it’d be if aged another 4 years. 86/100

Picked up a mini to try and pleasantly surprised it’s pretty good. Smooth with that banana runts note to it and a spice that builds slowly and lingers for a good while. Might have to give the barrel proof version a try sometime. 88

Interesting. Peanuts but sweet. Herbal tea. Good nice spice mid tongue. Solid smooth good bourbon. Fun bottle is a bonus 88

Good pour of bourbon. Sweet, light and nice. Not worth the $ though 85

Not overly complex but very very nice, so smooth and buttery compared to SR with a nice cherry nose and hints of vanilla, oak and citrus behind it all Final number: 91.5

Good bourbon, smoother and better flavor than the small batch but has a harshness to the burn that just don’t enjoy 88
