mainly rich spice smell and taste. I haven't had the 12 year old so I can't compare it. Other reviews say this is hotter. It is a little hotter than I like. But with a splash of water which I add to most of my whiskeys to open them up a bit, it is rather pleasant. Disclaimer: I'm very new to this, only a month or two. My tastes will probably change over time as I develop more of a palette.

Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 11, 2018 (edited October 17, 2019)I just bought a bottle of this yesterday. At 14.99 I wasn't expecting much, but I figured if I didn't like it I could use it for mixers. especially since it's cheaper than Jim Beam White Label. well, I love it. quite a bit of flavor, and just a little bite. Nose: no alcohol smell, and some mild Vanilla, and Caramel. Taste: Vanilla, Caramel, spice, and floral. a pepper flavor to. finish: A very mild alcohol burn, and floral and spice tastes. It's easy to drink to much because it's so smooth and goes down so easily. This is one of my favorite bourbons now. Oh, what the heck lets be honest, this is my favorite. I've only been drinking my bourbons straight for a little over a month now, so this is a great bourbon for beginners, but could be to mild for experienced bourbon drinkers. -
