Russell's Reserve 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 17, 2016 (edited March 18, 2016)Roses are red, violets are blue, those things are floral and this sure is too. This bourbon is like someone went through someone's herb garden, made a meal with hazelnuts, chocolate and herbs. They decided to garnish the dish with a flower medley that made this bourbon smooth, full and delicious. In my opinion, there isn't a better bang for buck bourbon out there. If the wife allows, I will always have a bottle in the collection. -
Off the nose it has a strong cherry and baking spice characteristic.. Some orange zest and sweet corn come off the first sip. I expected a bit more rye character but overall the finish is sophisticated yet an oak tickle lets you know it was there. Overall, I love this rye and will try to always keep a bottle.

Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 16, 2016 (edited April 9, 2016)Sweet and nutty off the sip but a little harsh on the finish for its price point. Drop a slow melter in there or a splash of water and it becomes a little more enjoyable. Honestly, I would try this before paying the price for this bottle. There are many other bourbons at this price point that are more memorable and less hype than this one. If this was a 35$ bottle I would pop 4 stars on the rating but the high price point and Nickleback style bottling makes it a solid 3.
