Tastes

Nose: Very sweet. Bubblegum almost. Bit of butterscotch and caramel in there also. Palate: Vanilla & charred oak. Finish: Pepper & Vanilla. Thoughts: Overall, not bad. Good meat sipper, but wouldn’t hurt over ice. The sweet flavors quickly give way to spice.

Nose: Floral & Minty Palate: Nutty & subtle apple. Finish: Smooth and pleasant. Thoughts: Nice neat sipper. Nuttiness definitely sets it aside from other Rye’s.

Nose: Oak & Vanilla Palate: Herby. Finish: Warm. Spice & cinnamon. Thoughts: Not bad. What you would expect from a rye. Especially for the price point, I can’t complain.

Nose: Hints of vanilla, caramel, and subtle oak. Palate: Subtle fruitiness with rich caramel and a spicy oak. Finish: Warm finish. Oak, spice, and a bit of fruit round out the finish. Thoughts: Sippable neat. Might consider dropping some water in it to open everything up. Definitely a warm finish, but nice on a cold night.

Nose: Vanilla, mint, and light fruit. Palate: Smooth forward, vanilla, and a soft spice. Finish: subtle rye spice, warmth. Overall: smooth to drink neat.
