Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year
Blended Malt — Scotland
Reviewed May 25, 2015 (edited July 3, 2015)Maybe I expeted more considering all the hype but to be honest, this is nothing to write home about. Hints of spice, iodine, and dried fruit at the forefront but a bit too sweet for my liking. A good but not great Scotch and at $60 per bottle, there are better options. -
The Cadillac of the Johnnie Walker line lives up to it's reputation in every way. This is a Scotch designed to appeal to the masses and it does so beautifully. Scotch connoisseurs who prefer their whisky to be well defined (ie: peaty, smoky, fruity etc), and who typically don't like a Scotch that tries to be everything to everyone, probably won't care for this. Those who just like good Scotch will love it. Anyway, an extremely smooth and well balanced blend with a touch of smoke and a hint of sweetness that lingers on the pallet beautifully. Definitely something every Scotch lover should try at least once in their lifetime.
