Tastes

Smooth, drinkable, and delicious. Not unique enough to be a favorite, but certainly not anything I’d shy away from drinking again or keeping a 5th on hand. Day 5 of my 2017 advent.

Flat and hot. Day 4 of my 2017 advent. It wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t special or delicious either. Too many other good things to drink to do again.

Day 3 of my 2017 advent. Conventional smell, in a pleasant way. Thin, spicy flavor. Very unique and warming to the core. It’s an exotic flavor. If I ever try it again, it will be over plenty of ice (to tame the burn, and hopefully enhance the unique flavor). Would try it again, but at this point wouldn’t buy a whole bottle.

Day 2 of my 2017 advent. Smooth and flavorful. A joy to drink.

Loved it and would absolutely drink again. This was day 1 of my 2017 advent that Lisa got me. I slight burn mid-pallet, but very, very smooth finish. I drank it neat, but would probably prefer on the rocks. I noted a strong apple flavor too, that I liked.

Want to try. Had a double on the rocks in Denver while the boys swam in the pool. Loved every sip. Smooth, balanced, and even. Can’t wait to drink again.

Sweet, unusually sweet, with no finish (not in a bad way). Probably a nice occasional drink, but too sweet to enjoy regularly.

Not bad for those nights Makers Mark isn’t available as a standard. Had a double on the rocks in Ft. Collins on the Dragon/Great Western debacle. Very flavorful, but dry and unique. After a 5th, then half of a 1.75, over the course of a few weeks, I’m over it. Heartburn and hangovers (unusual for me).

Love it. Best served chilled over a little H2O. Possibly my second favorite thus far (second to Blantons, of course).

Good. Prefer it chilled, but neat. Would never turn down a glass, and would drink over most unknowns. Would have been 4 stars, but left a weird film on my teeth the next morning like it had artificial colors or fillers in it.
