Macallan 10 Year Sherry Oak
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 23, 2017 (edited April 24, 2018)Mine was actually the 12 year sherry oak. Day 23 of my 2017 advent. Sherry on the nose - fruity, but with Carmel undertones; Pleasant smell. Smooth, cool entry. No midpallet impression. Long finish with minimal heat. It’s kind of plums/grapes/apples on the finish. Not too much though. Long pleasant aftertaste. It’s good. Not something I’d turn down, but not something I’d seek out either. I’d prefer something a little scotchier, less sherryish. -
