Hot to start, but really opens up. I love the spice on this. The cognac is very present. Long finish. Will happily take a few visits with this.

Tastes young, heavy corn. The double barrel does add some oak that I enjoy, but not enough to make up for the youth and corn forward profile.

One of the best double oaked ryes I’ve had. Very smooth, easy drinker.

This is a young whiskey that is nicely double oaked/charred that leads to a very balanced smooth pour. Excellent value.

Definitely a lot of chocolate and roasted notes on the nose. Palate is cocoa, silky mouthfeel. Not picking up any maple this first go around, but it’s quite nice. Finish is quick, but that’s to be expected from a lower proof whiskey.

Nose: sweet, green jolly rancher. Taste: Much creamier than expected, nice mouthfeel, minimal rye spice. Finish: easy drinker, mellow.

It’s very unique, but not really my jam. I do appreciate what is happening in this glass. There is a lot of cinnamon and even more nutmeg on the finish. It has a barn, hay, funk that hits you in the face at first, but the Christmas spice finish is quite enjoyable. I like it more than I hate it, but this is definitely a “try before you buy” whiskey.

This is a peach bomb. Awesome rye spice on the finish, but tons of fruit and peaches up front, slight vanilla cream finish. Very unique and absolutely fantastic.
