Tastes

Decent, drinkable, cheap-ish, beginners scotch. Very similar to glenlivet. Toffee on the nose, hazelnut through the middle, a little grassy on the back, short and thin finish.

My highest rating yet. The smell of this whisky is the best I’ve had the opportunity to try. It’s only competitor is Angels Envy rye finished in rum barrels, but the taste of that rye is only so so. Not here, Weller. I read tasting notes that described as intensely smooth, strange choice of words, but accurate. Pear and honeycomb on the palate, mid-length finish, heavy wheat and oak. Love it, but a little pricey.

Intriguing. I generally don’t go for overly smoking or peaty scotch, but the intense combination of the two here is somehow addicting. Almost some ocean salt taste in there as well. I know, strange but I dig it.

Not my thing, sweet. But still way better than normal maker’s. Great first taste but the finish is like candy.

Cheap, but decent wheated bourbon. Worth the price of admission or as a normal sipper.

Good wheated flavor. Too sweet and a bit of over charred. Had some rye characteristics. Over all good but over priced.
