Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 20, 2020 (edited October 28, 2020)Vanilla and wood, some neat thing on the nose but very subtle, classic but on taste with big oak and vanilla notes -
Very different, first Irish that didn’t come off the bottom shelf. Fruity on the noise kind of hot but not unbearable. Citrusy with green notes, kinda like a mandarin orange with the leaves still on at Christmas, slightly floral like walking near a patch of daises still in the ground. Full and sweet on the palate very butterscotch with buckwheat honey and peppercorn. Finish is spicy and tart, bitter almond extract.

Signal Hill Canadian Whisky
Canadian — Newfoundland, Canada
Reviewed March 12, 2020 (edited January 19, 2021)Very light nose had trouble smelling anything at first. Sweet very sweet, like a spoonful of honey with a lingering spice. Rice-pudding kinda taste and feel sweet spiced with dried fruit. And a coating mouth feel that is thick but not heavy -
