There's a spice and fire right up front that you feel rather than taste, like it's trying to trick you into inhaling, but then it vanishes, leaving a sweet, buttery warmth.

Everything I don't like about Scotch. Smoke, salt and peat override any other notes that might be hiding in there. Like someone decided to drink the bong water the next morning... Why?

My favorite Scotch, which is to say, very unlike Scotch. No smoke or peat. Just a lovely whiskey with notes of apple, pear, leather, and maybe a touch of tarragon.
