Tastes

Last BTAC I've tasted. Was avoiding because rye is usually too spicy for me, but this wasn't. It wasn't hot, deep, or full, it just kind of was. Didn't hate it, but didn't love it. I'll stick to all things Stagg.

Celebratory pour for my birthday at a steakhouse. First time trying. Strong heat up front but smooth finish. Much enjoyed, but can't beat any Stagg or Stagg Jr I've had.

Proof 128.7, we couldn't tell whether it was batch 2 or batch 17, but they said they had it a long time and probably from 2014, so batch 2. My first Jr, but Stagg (Sr) is always lighter than proof suggests. In a first, I didn't even dilute with ice. Hot but smooth, Nutty on the nose, cherry on the tongue. Delicious!

Smooth initial sip for such high alcohol content. Holding in mouth reminds me of a hint of salt on back of my tongue

Smooth bourbon with hint of spice that lingers on the finish.

I like to add an ice cube for a slight chill Nose: light, sweet, Taste: smooth, cherry

First pour: 3 ice cubes rested 10+ mins Nose: flat 7-UP, cherry Taste: dark cherry, and burning 2/25: I take it back, I cut it with 3 cubes of ice and I enjoy it much more. Not my favorite, but I can appreciate the hype.

Unsure of year. After a mellow sip, One piece of rested ice turned it into a butter bomb.

2oz pour. Heavy first sip. 2 ice cubes to find butter notes.
