Revisited this after a less complex blend. the smoke is amazing. So well mixed with the fruit. The 54.2% abv hits you but the sweetness and smoke comes through soon after. Really amazing.

Nose is great. Vanilla, apple. The taste starts nicely but does not last very long and is a bit simplistic. It's a nice dram but probably not worth the price.

Intense smoke nose at first. Bacon. Smoked meats. The taste hits you hard. Spicy, peppery. Fruity sweet comes through. The finish reminds me of Bruichladdich the laddie, hits you in the back of the mouth. pow. Needs some water.

I'm drinking this right after trying an Octomore 7.1. This one tastes like a less intense version of that. The peat is weaker but the same quality. And it's much sweeter.
