It’s a 4/5 for the taste but gets a 4.5 when you factor in the price. I don’t think there is a bourbon that comes close to this when it comes to value.

I’m honestly not a fan of JW, but wow I really love this. Very floral and fruity. The higher abv makes it even more so. It’s like all of the yum you get with a nice px, port or sherry cask but none of the over powering sweetness. Could sip on this for many years to come. Very sad it’s a limited one time release. Would take one of these over any JW I’ve had including blue, without a doubt.

One of my favourite Japanese bottles of all time. It’s got everything you love about a good smooth well rounded Japanese bottle but at that lovely higher proof.

Have never even really fan of rye but got a few of these and it’s turned me into one. The flavours you get are beautiful. You’d never guess it’s this high of a proof either.

What a friggin oak bomb this is. I despise regular woodford but a buddy convinced me to try this last summer. Have been through a few bottles since then. Would die for a barrel strength version please woodford do it!

To date this is one of the most mystical and magical whiskeys I’ve ever owned. Every sip was a journey as it took you through the high proof burn, to heavy peat, hints of caramel and other magical things. Made me an octo fan for life.

It’s a good time... nothing like the rather bland and watery base version of four roses. This is where their lineup starts in my books.

One of my fav bottles for the price. God it’s good. Small batch is a darling too but this is worth the small premium for a bit better of everything in terms of flavour and proof.

I’m a sucker for this one, especially for the price. The balance of rich flavour and sweetness from the bourbon and sherry casks is spot on.

HP has always been one of my fav whiskeys around. This one doesn’t disappoint. Take the 12, make it even smoother and better and this is what you’d get. Would kill for a cask strength version of it.
