Based on the high-rye formula made famous by Basil Hayden (it's his picture on the bottle) and made by his grandson. This is the Bottled-In-Bond version, meaning it was all distilled in the same calendar year, it was aged at least 4 years under government supervision, and it is bottled at 50% ABV.

"The aroma is full of oranges, vanilla bean, oak, and sweet corn. Brûléed sugars along with more orange and oak appear on the palate with a touch of black pepper. The finish is of moderate length with citrus, toasted barrel sugars, and corn."
