Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 19, 2020 (edited May 1, 2020)Sweet with prominent wheat notes, strong citrus on the finish. Would be great for an Old Fashioned. -
Lagavulin Offerman Edition 11 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed April 12, 2020 (edited April 16, 2020)Perfect balance of smoky and sweet without being overpowering. Similar in flavor profile to Talisker 10 but stepped up. A fresh bottle is definitely more smoke-forward but after it’s had a chance to mellow it develops into a rich and complex whisky. I think 11 years is a sweet spot for lagavulin - rounded at the edges but not muted like the 16. Nose: citrus, oak, peat Palate: brine, fresh fruits, smoke Finish: caramel, smoke, orange zest -
Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey
Flavored Whiskey — USA
Reviewed March 12, 2020 (edited April 8, 2020)Not usually a fan of flavored whiskeys but this is like drinking straight peanut butter - you’d never know there was any alcohol and it’s not too sweet. -
Talisker 10 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed February 2, 2020 (edited October 24, 2021)Full sweet and spicy flavor with a smoky finish -
