Flaviar Advent Calendar. Nose: vanilla, floral, banana, honey. Palate: spicy and mildly sweet, caramel, malt, sherry funk. This is a beautiful 12yo whisky.

So far, this is a first time I am disappointed by a High West product. Nose: medicinal, mint, eucalyptus. Palate: spicy, peppery long lasting, fir tree. I'll have to revisit.

Nose: Christmas, floral/pine, licorice. Palate is very similar with mild sweetness, maple/oak. Very specific taste for a rye, really can't find something similar. I don't dislike it but can't drink this everyday

Sample box: Nose is peat, mild fruit. Palate is far superior and distinct. Mild sweetness, fruty and smokey. Very accessible islay style whiskey.
