Dark chocolate, coffee and heavily peated. Simply amazing! If you get a chance to try this or pick up a bottle, highly recommend it!

It’s young but you definitely get the rye taste with light spiciness and the port finish does sweeten it up a little. Solid intro and I’m curious to see what a more mature bottle would taste like.

As someone once said, "It's the best dickel you'll ever have in your mouth!" Jokes aside, this is a solid release. The charcoal mellowing and double distilling do create a smoother taste with lots of vanilla flavor. The nose is mostly oak and is definitely worth trying for a Tennessee Whisky not named Jack Daniels.

The attempt to marry Bourbon and Japanese whiskey is admirable but I feel this is slightly more hype than actual substance. The flavor is somewhat lacking with traditional bourbon flavor and a hint of the wine and sherry cask finish. I get a lot of oak and nuts on the nose. Better value if priced under $30 USD.

Definitely a good starter Islay for anyone trying peated whisky for the first time. A good balance of smoke and sweetness that is best enjoyed neat.

Taste of oak/vanilla, fruits (apricot) and a smooth finish that lingers for a few minutes. It’s really good and a best bang for buck 18 year old speyside scotch. Is it Macallan? Could be a few barrels that they ended up selling to Alexander Murray but doesn’t taste exactly like Macallan. If you find a bottle at your local Costco, definitely worth giving it a try.

Finally had a chance to try this the other night at Seattle’s famous whiskey bar Canon. It’s very complex yet very smooth. From the nose, taste, and finish. It had all the fine attributes you would find in a well aged scotch except this one’s made in Japan.

The first ever bottled in bond bourbon I’ve had and it did not disappoint! Full of flavor and just enough heat to make it interesting. Also, you can find it at Costco for a really good price.

Slightly more hyped up than most bourbons and that pretty bottle does make it more appealing. Overall, it's still solid and tasty for traditional bourbon lovers. Definitely give this a try if you haven't already. Bottles might be hard to find in retail stores but you can find it in most bars throughout the country to sip on. Just don't pay too much for a shot, some crazy hotels in Southern California charge $50/shot for this!

As good as it gets, so well rounded with hints of everything you can ask for in an 18-year scotch. Full of flavor from dried fruits, some vanilla, and then a light peatiness on the finish. Definitely one of my favorites. Just wish the price was slightly lower.
