A big rush of real sugar Dr. Pepper on the nose, with brown sugar, dark cherry, chocolate, dark red fruits and vanilla. On the palate cherry cola, vanilla, candied orange peel. While it is not doubt packing a bourbon punch, there are sherry cask element there.

Sweet, herbal and fruity on the nose with notes of strawberry, caramel crème. Barrel char and sherry sweetness on the palate with some fresh, crisp herbs

Easy sipping with hay, honey, apple, and light blowing smoke. Great for a pounder or easy sipper on a value.

Spicy, sweet, and floral. It has a rich and heavy mouthfeel loaded with vanilla. A pretty good banger for the weekdays

Super sweet nose with a bit of candied pepper spice. Very sweet palate with richness coming from sugar. A fine desert whiskey, but not a daily sipper or night cap. I would liken it to Angels Envy but sweeter. Not bad, but not worth the price.

Over time it opens into vanilla au poivre on the nose with a cherry cola element. Zesty and spicy on the palate with a creamy mouth feel and a rather abrupt finish.

The whiskey isn't hot at all. There isn't much concentration of flavor, but thats probably due to the proofing down. The Port and American Port style barrels add a nice dark fruit element and sweetness. The one big detriment is the abrupt finish. Overall good, but relatively non-complex.
