Buttery toffee with a hint of citrus. Great pour!

Loads of oak with the usual vanilla and caramel. I think the nose is the most satisfying of all and at one point I got a slight hint of cherries

Very good stuff! More char and oak than the 13 and not quite as smooth

Took a couple minutes to open up but when it did, a lot more caramel came through. Very good and would buy a bottle if I ever had the chance but there are many others I would seek first!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I saw this but I had to try it. Get loads of wintergreen upfront on the nose but surprisingly not much orange. The wintergreen dies off on the palate but makes a slight appearance again on the finish. Never did get the orange I was expecting but overall it was very good and smoother than I thought it would be.

I’m finally getting to try this is I have to say, I can see why it is hyped up. Not sure if I would pay secondary but would love to find a bottle in the wild. Very buttery and smooth with loads of caramel and vanilla, absolutely delicious! I’ve yet to try the 9 but I would love to do a side by side comparison.

Light with a lot of rye spice without the heat, about what to expect with a 80 proof. Lacks some depth in my opinion and definitely not worth the price tag although I did not take that into account on my rating

Absolutely delicious and my rating is not affected by the cost. That being said, I don’t know if it’s worth the extra cost over the 10 or 12 year

They are all single barrels so there are bound to be differences but this one continues to to a bargain for me. Slightly edges out the one I had from 2011, this is a touch more sweet with a little more vanilla. Cheap enough I don’t feel guilty mixing it but at the same time love it neat! It’s hard to find a better bang for your buck in my opinion!!

To be fair, I had a sample from an older open bottle but nothing from this stood out at all to me. Pretty classic bourbon with no surprises but a little too rough around the edges for my taste. It was however fairly smooth for the ABV
