A little bit of water really opens up the flavors on this one in my opinion.Upon first taste, the fruit really hits you on the front end and I get more of a oak mid-palate. The finish seemed short lived at first but then the fruit patiently came back on the end.32.0 USD per BottleHannaford Supermarket

This is ok for something different every now and then but I wouldn’t say it is a bottle I reach for first very often. I get heavy notes of charred oak on the nose and tongue with a hint of rye. It gets slightly sweet towards the end followed by a short light finish. Updated June 2019.... haven’t had this in a while and since have started appreciating bourbons more than I used to. That being said, I think it is much better this go around than before, and all I get is bourbon, no blended Canadian. I no longer think this was a waste of my money and it actually is pretty good for a bourbon. Those harsh flavors I seemed to find last time are no longer there. Don’t know if it mellowed out sitting in the cabinet but whatever happened, I’m glad it did.

Glenfiddich 18 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 3, 2018 (edited November 13, 2020)After initially trying this at a bar, I was able to pick up a bottle a few months later. The first time I had it, it was really good but I did not let it rest like I should have. Trying it at home was a game changer. I let it rest for about 20 minutes and it changed everything. It is sweet and outrageously smooth. For an 18 year, I think it is priced great but still expensive enough to limit how often I will be able to enjoy it. It’s like it’s telling me a story. The palate starts off sharp and fruity but I think I enjoyed the finish the most, long and drawn out, tasting like candy. It has catapulted towards the top of my favorites I have had so far.21.0 USD per Pour -
Crown Royal Salted Caramel
Flavored Whiskey — Canada
Reviewed October 27, 2018 (edited October 28, 2020)Tastes just as it sounds but you better like caramel. Strong caramel flavor without a whole lot of a traditional whiskey flavors. It can be hard to find but as a seasonal option or a dessert treat, I will be looking for it again!29.0 USD per BottleGlobal Beverage Warehouse -
