Punches above it's weight. Sweet taste and works awesome as a mixer, such as a rum & coke.

Very rich. Creamy like the description, full bodied, and I tasted quite a bit of caramel in it. Not horrible but not my thing.

Nice sweet smell, minimal ethanol burn on the nose. Goes great with a coca-cola. Definitely has that unique Jamaican 'funk' taste.

There's quite a few other rums I would take over a base line Capt. Morgan bottle but I will say that Private Stock is my favorite of all of his. I'll drink Private Stock over the rest that Morgan has to offer.
