When drinking Cuba libres, I usually prefer rums that give character to the mix, not just a plain neutral flavour. This one is among the former ones. Not much is needed to be poured in order to identify it's there. It's sharp, not super sweet and I'd say a bit smoked. Matusalem Añejo and Havana 7 might be close calls, and the first one, quite cheaper. Bought for 20€ in Spain20.0 EUR per Bottle

If you are searching for a rhum to mix with coke that doesn't suck and that's cheap enough, this could be it. Not too sweet, not too strong, not smoked, not spiced, not harsh on the throat. You can taste it's there but without standing out on any particular field. A good workhorse, nothing more and nothing less. Oh, doesn't make a good mix with Pepsi Max. It enhances the artificial sweetness of it. Bought for 13.5€ in Spain14.0 EUR per Bottle
