A fine starting point for beginners, and you could do worse in the gift-giving department. An admirable effort by Dewar's. It is terribly sweet, but solid and consistant, without the off-putting buttery note of their standard issue.

"Breakfast cereal with a dollop of honey and vanilla?" Glue. I get Elmer's glue. Very little sweetness. I applaud the bravery of dressing up a funky whiskey like this in a classy bottle, but it just doesn't taste very good at all.
