Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed June 18, 2019 (edited December 26, 2019)hot upfront...vanilla, honey... exhale of honeysuckle flowers...orange blossom and cereal or malt. less salt and smoke than expected from the region. overall, a good one. bite sits on the back of the tongue as does an almost sweet tomato sauce breath. -
Aberlour 18 Year Double Cask Matured
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed June 16, 2019 (edited December 13, 2021)one of the best Highlands I've ever tasted. the nose is vanilla, toffee, and peach. draws you in right away. tastes like melted vanilla ice cream, raisins, and pudding. a puff of smoke keeps you balanced. bites just enough at the end. well balanced, deep, rich, finish. I'd buy a bottle of this again to keep around for special occasions, or a nightly sipper in the rotation.130.0 USD per Bottle
