Glenfiddich 14 Year Bourbon Barrel Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 27, 2019 (edited May 4, 2021)tasty. has the bourbon bite up front but also the mash sweetness. finished with a fruity scotch at 14, which is well worth the $40-50 price point. this will easily slot into the rotation of regularly sipped bottles.42.0 USD per Bottle -
Singleton of Glendullan Select (Game of Thrones-House Tully)
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 12, 2019meh. apple at the nose but falls apart...watery but also harsh at the end. not the best pairing. -
Older bottle, 43%, in the tube. This is awesome and $30-35 a bottle. Full, rich, brine, and tang, then warming citrus. The sweet is apple, salted cookie is evident, light nutty flavors. Salty undertones let you know it's a coastal distillery. It's what Jefferson was trying to achieve with the "at sea" barrels, but didn't. You could tell me it's double the price and I'd believe you. The newer, 40%, sold in a box is much lighter in color and much less flavor. I put them side by side and couldn't believe the color difference. Not worth paying more than $40 for the newer stuff.33.0 USD per Bottle
