Tastes

This is the Pinot noir of Scotch and there’s nothing wrong with that. Really nice nose, with apple juice and fruits. Almost like an Irish, but not quite. Taste is light in the mouth, with some citrus. Average length finish, pleasant the whole way through. Great for when you want a scotch on a hot summer night.

Smokey maple on the nose, can also tell straight off that it’s peated. Reminds me a lot of a Lagavulin nose. Full bodied, but not particularly oily. Smoke comes through on the taste, gets some bitter notes near the end (in a pleasant way). Finish is burnt toast with cinnamon

Malty nose, spicy notes on the initial taste giving way to smooth woody taste with a hint of fruit. Finish is a bit short and lacks complexity. Hint of tea and the spice returns.

Sheer perfection. A complex nose and finish surround a smooth taste with citrus, pear, oak and cherry.
