Excellent. Really nice rye spice up front. I prefer the 2020, it has more port to balance. Not as much body as the 2020 either, leans more into the whiskey flavor than the port.

Real nice. The one I have is 9 years old.

Not my favorite. Too smooth for my liking, not much cognac, nothing offensive, but nothing that makes me want more.

Lots of fruit and lots of astringency and harshness. 10/10 nose, up front the palate is all fruit, then quickly turns harsh, short finish, but lingering fruit again. I’ve had 2 of these picks now, the first was a 3.5 due to harsh palate I couldn’t get rid of, no matter how much water or ice I added. The second is the best whiskey I’ve ever had. 1,000,000,000/10. I guess that averages to 4.25? Point is, these are unique, more than any other pick I’ve had.

Nice black pepper & caramel nose, on the palate candy sweetness & pepper. Very classic rye flavors I expect to find. I’d prefer bolder flavors, but well done at this proof overall and an easy drinker.

I love this. Drinks a lot lower proof than it is. Loads of cherry through the middle and long finish. I get caramel and tobacco too.

Two different barrel picks, one is as good as the best ryes in the world. The other is great for the price, but unremarkable. Still, to find a barrel that good at that price is amazing.

Tastes like boiled cabbage. Has an astringency that never goes away. Not sure what else to say about this.

Just fantastic. This changed my bourbon drinking game permanently.
