Russell's Reserve 13 Year Bourbon (2021 Release)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 11, 2022 (edited February 28, 2022)Not bad, but unremarkable. Not as good as store picks or Rare Breed. I think it’s too old and has lost some of the flavors that make WT products so great.65.0 USD per BottleSuper fine Wine & Liquor -
Barrell Craft Spirits Gray Label Seagrass (2022 Release)
Canadian — (bottled in) Kentucky, Canada
Reviewed February 11, 2022 (edited February 23, 2022)Good whiskey, beautiful packaging. I find the apricot aroma and taste overwhelming. It’s not offensive, but it is almost like smelling perfume and I don’t like that. Maybe it will mellow with future sips.300.0 USD per Bottle -
Old Elk Single Barrel Wheated Bourbon
Bourbon — (bottled in) Colorado, USA
Reviewed January 25, 2022 (edited September 22, 2022)This is fantastic. I get straw and grass on the nose. Great mouth feel and flavor. Chewy with caramel, apple, crisp fruit on the palate. Finish is similar, medium long. I tasted next to Maker’s 46 Cask Strength and that tastes hollow and like nothing in comparison.80.0 USD per BottleSuper fine Wine & Liquor -
Mammoth 12 Year Rye Weller Barrel Finish Michigan Bourbon Club Pick
Rye — Michigan, USA
Reviewed November 5, 2021Very nice. My fav of the Mammoth ryes I’ve had so far. Nice caramel right up front, rye spices and mint through and a short finish. Very traditional rye. A bit lighter body than I’d like.
